Robert Matheson Jr. was born in 1980 in the town of Cortlandt Manor, NY. Along with his sister Lina and brother Kyle, he attended the Lakeland Central Schools, and Robert graduated from the Lakeland Life Skills program in June 2001. Robert then became involved in the Keon Center, where he works both on-site and in the parks during the warmer months.
Robert began attending Nor-West day camp in 1988. He has many fond memories of the camp, including a favorite counselor and the camp nurse. When asked why he has attended Nor-West for so long, Robert states "There are lots of fun things to do. I meet new people and see old friends. My favorite activity is bowling"! Robert happens to be one of our best bowlers, and has many awards from the annual Luis Herzog Memorial Bowling Tournament.
Robert’s dream job would be working in a fine restaurant assisting in the dining room. Speaking of dining, when asked which celebrity he would have liked to have met and have lunch with, Robert selected Michael Jackson. Congratulations Robert on your induction into the Nor-West Hall of Fame!
