Celebrating 50 years

Nor-West celebrated its 50th anniversary with a wonderful gala at Traveler's Rest, attended by friends, family, and community members. It was an opportunity to reflect on five decades of dedicated service to the community, and we felt immense pride and gratitude towards all those who have contributed to making Nor-West a truly exceptional organization.

Hall of Fame Inductees

Nor-West honors individuals who have actively participated in our programs for 25 years. Every year, we induct them into our Hall of Fame. At our 50th Anniversary Party, ten people received the awards and became the latest additions to the Nor-West Hall of Fame, joining 31 other honorees. We congratulate them and express our gratitude for their continuous participation in our programs.

Lifetime Achievement Awards

Nor-West honored three individuals who have been with the organization since its earliest days. Lisa Forbes and Diane Warnke have been involved with Nor-West since 1975, while Howard Bloom is a Nor-West original who has been participating since its inception 50 years ago. During the event, Howard was presented with a special proclamation from Peekskill Mayor Vivian McKenzie in recognition of his long-standing participation. This was a wonderful tribute to these Nor-West legends!
